THE MYSTERY
Zooming across a vast wooded area. Towering trees ascend and descend as far as the eye can see. Until, a massive construction site with surrounding acreage comes into view. It is massive. Yet still unclear of what is being erected because of its early stages.
Equipment and workers are sprinkled everywhere.
A bulldozer is digging a huge hole off to one side. A foreman barks orders to the driver when suddenly, the ground opens up. A sinkhole with a mouth the size of a football field roars and swallows the bulldozer whole with the worker inside. Dirt, debris and anything else on the edges tumbles into pandemonium, spreading across the whole area. The crew rush to safety, staying out of its reach. It finally stops. Billows of dust plumes through the air reaching toward the cloud cover. workers rush to the rescue the missing dozer and driver. They quickly toss repelling gear down to scale down with medical gear on their backs. First wave of rescue workers go down and search the wreckage, but no worker.
They yell up top “He’s not in the bulldozer!” They continue to search when they find an open tunnel and they hear something. They flash their lights up high on the wall of the sink hole and the worker is clinging to the wall on all fours.
He turns around and scrambles down to standing position. The rescue workers freak out and make a run for it. Screams. Flesh tearing. The worker, no longer himself; something else, attacks the whole search party.
JARED ELLSWORTH

He is a 22 year old clean cut young man with a medium build and short messy blonde hair. He grew up in Granada Hills his whole life.

Father was an MP in the Navy. Upon leaving the military he became a sheriff and had a long career before getting killed in action when he pursued a missing girl report that turned his passion to help and be of service into an obsession to find her. It led him to an undisclosed location where he fell to his death.

Mother is a massage therapist in their small town and has a thing for angels. She believes angels watch over us and nicknamed her daughter Sera, Dancing Angel.

Throughout high school , Jared worked part time at a sporting goods store where he could be close to athletes, but never had the hand to eye coordination or physical build to actually partake in competitive sports.

His main passion was for music. A self-taught guitarist and knew he was onto something when he would do recitals for family and friends with his toy fisher price keyboard as a child.

After graduation high school, he went to the local community college to take music classes and found a new love...the love of dance music and the club scene.

Joined the police academy to follow in his father’s footsteps in law enforcement to be of service, but left during the process to pursue his dream of becoming a world renowned dance music DJ.

With a unique style and charisma that the crowds are really taking a liking to, Jared began working his way up the ladder to a headliner in nearby cities and towns in the midwest.

His sights are on his venturing to the big city. Determined to find his sister. Jared is ready to hit the ground running. Meet Sera’s inner circle. The investigation will start at Club Rapture where she worked and was last seen.
THE DJ LIFESTYLE
Jet setting and party hopping by the in crowd is a desire of most young people working hard and playing hard in the nightclub scene. And for the lucky ones that get to travel the globe, standing up on high behind the proverbial decks, spinning dance music in front of sold out crowds it’s like they are the modern day rock stars. Some rumors float around the wealth circles that some of the top djs make tens of millions on a yearly basis.
And Jared Ellsworth aka DJ Red Arrow has his sights set on becoming one of those lucky stars to grace the covers of Mix Mag magazine or top the charts on the Billboard remix 100 list. It all started in his midwest town at a private event where he realized he was on to something.
THE DARKEST CASE
Being on the force was the most likely landing spot for Frank Ellsworth. He had a decorated career in the Navy as an MP. He was clean as a whistle. The kind of guy that was the pillar of the community in most middle class neighborhoods. His shirts and pants were pressed tight with razor sharp creases. He was the go to dad for kids sports teams that all the parents would nominate to take the reins.
But little did anyone know, except for his wife, Frank walked through some of the darkest realities that would find themselves on some kind of documentary series on Netflix glorifying some criminal mastermind that raised the bar of evil in crime scenes and signature methodologies. The case that broke the camel’s back was a late night call from dispatch, sending Frank to a remote highway outside of town where a passerby caught a glimpse of an abandoned car on the side of the road. Frank’s path would never be the same.

Fiery spirit with the boss babe exterior to match. She loves to pursue adventure, especially the adventure of life and toes the line between danger and freedom.

When she was little her mother supported her kind nature, somewhat of a wallflower. She could talk to anybody young or old without even noticing the outside.

Her father would try to toughen her up like a tomboy and she would please him by throwing the baseball in the backyard.

-Moved to the big city to pursue a dance career. Her choreography got her noticed by the who’s who of the nightlife socialite crowd and with her outgoing personality she was offered a job as a gogo dancer at the popular spot CLUB RAPTURE.

The one thing that Jared and her never saw eye to eye on is that Sera never knows when it’s too much. To know when to walk away when she’s walking the edge. Jared told her since they were very young one day you are going to go too far and I won’t be there to catch you or save you.

Her fit physique, sassy swagger and girl boss attitude is bound to lead her to higher things. It’s like she’s taken walking to the beat of her own drum further that others do.

After serving in the military a few tours in the Middle East and back home here in the states, he decided to retire instead of working his way up the ranks.

His desire to be home more drove Frank at the core. He regretted missing so much of his children growing up and the strain it put on the family unit as well as his marriage.

A more simple life is what he was going after when he joined the sheriff's unit.

That lead him to the Homicide Division where he continued his life of service to help victims of violent crimes such as; homicides, suspicious deaths, crimes as a result of which death is probable, in-custody deaths, missing persons, infant deaths, SIDS, officer-involved shootings and use of force deaths, suspicious suicides and adult kidnaps

Just a good old boy from the south, North Carolina to be exact where boiled peanuts were considered a delicacy.
FALLING BEYOND THE HORIZON
As Frank Ellsworth stumbled through the evidence and broke all the protocols that his superiors reprimanded him about, he found himself drifting into morbid self-destruction and turning to prostitutes to comfort him. He wasn’t the cheating type. His rendezvous evenings was his therapy. His only comfort from strangers that became his only guiding light.
Where was Ellie Monroe?
Who took her? And why?
Everyone says it’s the questions that drive us, but for Frank it’s the questions that tormented him.
NO TURNING BACK
The night Olivia Ellsworth answered the knock at the door her reaction said it all. She knew the day would come when the words from the detectives standing there were "can we come in?"
Frank had battled with his demons. The only thing that had left any kind of confusion at the moment and she'd carry with her for another ten years where she'd meet the same fate is, how does a good man fall so hard and ultimately take his own life? One she would answer herself when she found herself staring in the mirror with a Kimber .9mm handgun made in the good old USA jammed in her mouth just like Frank.
Pain is evident in some people, but for those that are better at hiding it, being a patriot to the core doesn't help you survive that. Jared and Sera would find themselves young adults with both parents ripped away from them with complete tragedy and would form an even tighter bond that would prove to be instrumental when she goes missing.

THE NEMESIS
Evil comes in many shapes and sizes. In fact, most people should be careful because the devil can show up in forms shrouded in a veil of secrecy in plain sight. When the prisons of long ago started selling off their prisoners as work force, everyone knew it was a bad idea. But politicians and wealthy one percenters never thought it would ever affect them until it did. It changed everything forever.
And one thing is for certain when push comes to shove, there is no greater survival than inside the confines of a prisoner's mind. Like lab rats in a cage they will strike with venom and violence to free themselves from threat even it means the magnitude of destruction will increase.
The man who ultimately covered up the debacle now has a grandson.
He is cut from the same cloth and doing everything he can to cover up a dark secret of the past that haunts his family and could tarnish everything generations of their family name have worked so hard for. The guinea pigs would be far more vicious than ever predicted.
These Rattus norvegicus domestica used for experiments would be replaced with human beings. And that combo was destined for hell on Earth.
